Vinous - "The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Goulots 1er Cru has a very ripe bouquet that flirts with sur-maturité; hints of dates and fig can be glimpsed among the blue and red fruit. I would like to see more composure here. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fleshy and ripe, a little heady in style but retaining decent balance and freshness toward the finish. Not bad, although I have tasted better vintages in the past. "


Decanter - "Less famous than neighbouring Combe Aux Moines, possibly because it sounds a little less appealing, Goulots is a similarly cool site high on the slope above Gevrey-Chambertin. Fresh, refined and elegant, this is what Jean-Marie Fourrier terms an 'intellectual wine' that's poised and comparatively chiselled, even in 2018, with floral top notes and sappy berry fruit."
