2017 Domaine Roulot 'Meix Chavaux' Meursault

Winemaker Notes: Aromatics of white peach, citrus and melon. A rich, unctuous mouthfeel gives way to a lengthy finish showcasing crisp acidity and chalky minerality.

Decanter - "Four plots make up the domaine's holdings here, located on slightly deeper soils than Les Luchets but also facing north-east. This is a slightly broader, creamier style from Jean-Marc Roulot, although everything is relative. It's savoury and complex, with stony minerality driving the finish. 2020-2028."


Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "Roulot's 2017 Meursault Meix Chavaux is more reserved than the Luchets and Vireuils, unwinding in the glass with a youthfully reticent bouquet of crisp green orchard fruit, citrus oil and pastry cream. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with superb depth and definition, racy acids and a long, chalky finish. There's more substance here, but the wine will also need more time. Drink: 2025-2040."
